To my most valued Poker Players,
I
am sorry to inform you that the current points system is no longer
going to be in place. We have had too many complaints and issues with
the current point system to continue. I am open to suggestions with a
new points system, but our issues are as follows:
- Players do not wish to give ID’s at the final table
- Charity Workers do not write down the information
- Illegible writing when the forms are filled out
- Incorrect or Incomplete information on who finished where
Most
of the problems are easy when looked at individually, but when we had a
bunch of little problems we end up with one big mess. The biggest
issue we are having is the charities are worried about balancing the
bank first and foremost, and the points list is an afterthought. What
we need is a system for writing the points down, at the events correctly
and legibly. If anyone can come up with some easy and simple ways to
manage the points list, I would be very much in their debt.
With
no points system in place, Chicago Charitable Games and the hosting
charities are going to have Player Appreciation Freeroll’s about once a
quarter (every few months). The Freeroll prizes will be greater than
the points prizes, but based a little differently. I hope everyone
understands the issues we are having, and please feel free to email me
if you have any questions or suggestions on how we can keep a points
list.
Sincerely,
Ken Kaulen Jr.

How to get Points...
1. Play in a Multi-table Tournament
2. Finish in the money
3. Points are based on...
a. how many players played in the tournament
b. what was the buy-in
c. what place did you finish in the tournament
d. only the original places paid in the tournament get points
For example if you played in the $20 early bird with only 50 players and won, you would not get as many points as winning the $100 Target Bounty with the same number of players.
