Looking for a fresh twist on a casino classic? Welcome to Charity Poker Blackjack at CCG Poker—where the stakes are fun, the action is steady, and every hand helps support a great cause. Whether you’re a seasoned blackjack grinder or just dipping your toes into the game, our tables are designed to be welcoming, exciting, and easy to jump into.

💸 Low Stakes, Big Action
Our $5 minimum blackjack keeps things accessible for everyone. It’s the perfect setup to learn the game, sharpen your skills, or just enjoy a few hours of cards without the pressure of high-stakes play.

🕒 Weekend Schedule
• Friday & Saturday: 6PM – 10PM
• Sunday: 4PM – 7PM

🎯 Built-In Bonus Action: Side Bets
Want to spice things up? Blackjack tables feature two exciting side bets that add extra sweat to every deal:
• Three Card Poker Side Bet
• 21 Side Bet

Here’s where it gets fun: for both side bets, you use your first two cards AND the dealer’s up card to create your hand. That means every deal brings new possibilities—big hands, sneaky draws, and those “wait… do I have something here?” moments that make blackjack even more entertaining.

It’s fast, it’s engaging, and it gives you more ways to win beyond the standard hand.

♠️ More Than Just Cards
At CCG Poker, you’re not just playing blackjack—you’re part of a community. Our charity poker events are open to the public (18+), and every session helps support local charitable organizations. So while you’re chasing 21, you’re also contributing to something bigger.

🔥 Why Play Blackjack at CCG Poker?
• Friendly, welcoming atmosphere
• Low minimums = more play, more fun
• Unique side bets for added excitement
• Weekend schedule that fits your plans
• Play cards. Support charity. Win-win.

Pull up a chair, grab some chips, and see if you can catch a heater. Because at CCG Poker, blackjack isn’t just a game… it’s part of the experience. ♣️💥

Tournament Players: Earn points by finishing in the top 5 of any tournament. The top 5 tournament point leaders each month (January through May) will secure their spot in the Freeroll.

Cash Game Players: Earn 1 point per hour of live NLH cash game play. The top 5 cash game point leaders will qualify each month (January through May). Note: Players must check in and out at the bank to log their hours.

Points Multipliers: Earn extra points at specific venues. 1️⃣❌ to 2️⃣❌ depending on the location. The points modifier will be listed on the event page of the CCG poker website. Some venues are 1.5x points for Tournament, but not cash games and vice versa. Please check the individual event details page of the website to see if an upcoming event will have bonus points.

Bonus Points for Cash Game Players: Earn one extra hour per event for purchasing chips prior to the start of the event. For example, buying chips at 1:50 for a 2pm start would qualify for an additional hour on your time logged that day. Buying in at 2:10 would not qualify you for the bonus hour.

When is the FREEROLL?
Saturday, June 13th, 2026
VFW Warrenville
+ Final Table at CCG poker Studio
12pm start time
15,000 starting chips
$10 add on for an additional 15,000 in chips
Levels 1-10 are 20 minutes long
Levels 11+ are 25 minutes long
The Final Table will be 30-minute levels & recorded for CCG poker TV
BB ante structure will be used
Late entry through the first five levels.
Misc Rules:
Each player may only qualify for 1 seat. FREEROLL seats are not transferable. Main Event Seats are not transferable. There is no cash value on the seats won. There will be five alternates given out via a combination of bubble busters sit n go, social media giveaways, top point earners who did not qualify directly, and random drawings for players who cannot make the June 13th, 2026 Freeroll. Cash Game players are responsible for checking in and checking out at the bank to receive their proper hours. Any player who does not check out will receive a maximum of two hours of time. Players have until the next update (weekly on Thursday morning) to notify CCG of any incorrect points. After the allotted time, points may not be awarded with out special exemption.

Tournament Points Tie Breakers:
In the case of a tie of the top 5 in points for the tournament point list, the player with the most cashes will be awarded the freeroll seat. This means that the two players both have 25 points to qualify for 5th and 6th place. Player A received points in three tournaments, and Player B received points in four tournaments for the same point total. Player B would be the player who placed in the top 5 more times than Player A, and would be awarded the freeroll seat. Player A, in this situation, would qualify for the Bubble Buster Sit N Go.

Bubble Busters Alternates Sit N Go:
To fill out our $28 000 Freeroll with a full 54-player field, the hosting charities will run a 10-person bubble-buster freeroll for an additional three seats. Fifty qualifiers, plus the winner of the 2026 Titan, plus three bubble buster winners to combine for a total of 54 players. The bubble buster sit n go is for the ten players (five cash game players and five tournament players) who finish 6th on the points list in any month. If a player finishes 6th in one month but qualifies for the tournament, the bubble buster seat will go to the next player on the list.

Freeroll Alternates for No-Shows
If a qualified player is unable to attend the Freeroll, their seat will be assigned to an alternate. Alternate selections will correspond to the 4th place finish in the Bubble Busters Sit N Go.

Bluffing On The Blockchain: How Poker Embraced Crypto

Believe it or not, there was a time when people in the industry thought the idea of online poker was a bridge too far. Nowadays, we’ve got so many different variations of poker that have emerged from innovations in the digital ecosystem, and this success now acts as a tool for those looking to meet up and play poker in real life.

It has transformed every single element of the game, and although those doubts lingered in the early days of online poker adoption, we have seen the exact blueprint play out in the world of the cryptocurrency market, too.

Today, we’re going to deep-dive into the rise of cryptocurrency and how the blockchain has transformed the way people play poker. It has already come on leaps and bounds since the start of this decade, and while not everyone has embraced crypto, there’s been more than enough adoption to get casino bosses and platforms sitting up and taking notice.

Combining Ideas & Themes
An introduction to any market is usually through a related market you understand, or through someone you trust, who shows you how it works and its dynamics. When it comes to poker, there are always variants and ideas that pop up, often with varying degrees of success.

Blockchain companies and crypto enthusiasts who have been trying to marry blockchain and poker since the early 2010s needed an inroad. They needed to show people that it wasn’t just a quirky new way to play; it offered advantages over fiat currencies and other conventional payment options.

Video poker is a version of the game that sits between the old, conventional market and the digital universe. It was the first type of poker to embrace technology, so it was no surprise that it was the first to adopt the blockchain and crypto, too.

Crypto video poker operates like any standard terminal you can find at a conventional site, with the key difference that you connect your crypto wallet and handle withdrawals and deposits directly with the site. No third party needed, no bank oversight, no unnecessary delays from your bank – just sign the transaction, and you’re good to go.

It’s important not to confuse crypto-enabled video poker with online multiplayer poker. Video poker is a single-player terminal-style game, so integrating cryptocurrency doesn’t change the gameplay itself—only the payment method. That’s why many platforms were able to enable crypto for video poker earlier than for other formats.

Transparency & Security
Security is a non-negotiable for any form of payment in casino gaming. If a payment method has issues, picks up a reputation as slow or unreliable, or is linked to a platform with security issues, these factors can have a debilitating impact on it as it looks to grow in the market.

Alongside security, the other key element of casino gaming is a strong understanding of the factors that underpin the market. Obviously, when it comes to crypto, you must understand how crypto works, the mechanics of the market, and why the blockchain is such an integral part in helping poker platforms and game designers explore new horizons.

Given that the blockchain is an immutable ledger of all transactions, with each withdrawal and deposit recorded in real time, this helps casinos and customers better track betting patterns. From a gambling harm perspective, the use of AI in the blockchain is becoming increasingly adept at detecting problem gambling patterns, notifying casinos, and providing customers with tools or links to help them stem their problem gambling.

Borderless Payment Solutions
There’s no shortage of payment options in video poker, but for many users, it’s all about finding those payment options that give them the least headache. Again, this isn’t rocket science. One of the main issues casinos face is that customers who feel they are not receiving their winnings promptly often take to social media to voice their disapproval.

Casinos need to respond professionally and courteously to this criticism, as rising to customers or biting back can be considered bad form and not a good look from a business standpoint.

Take a look at what people are saying on social media sites, check out the bad reviews, and come to your own conclusions before deciding on the crypto video poker site you most like the look of. Sometimes, the casino must undergo the necessary AML and KYC checks to ensure the safety of payments and their liquidity. However, some casinos take weeks to process withdrawals, and it’s those platforms that are best given a wide berth.

Given the peer-to-peer nature of crypto casino payments, they are not subject to international or conventional payment provider or bank fees, depending on the site, payment option, and your location.

Moving The Market Forward
Ultimately, cryptocurrency offers a new way for people to play video poker and provides an inroad into learning more about the mechanics of digital assets and the blockchain. When you combine transparency, direct payment mechanics, and a traditional financial system that has begun to embrace cryptocurrency, the future looks promising for poker platforms that have spent the last decade reshaping their business models to adapt to these seismic changes in fintech.

So long as the mass audience is there, and more poker players are intrigued and open to the idea of blockchain casino gaming, there’s no reason why crypto can’t become one of the most dominant niches in the casino gaming market.

If you think poker is all about big pairs, full houses, and Broadway straights — Badugi is here to blow your mind. This quirky lowball draw game flips traditional poker upside down. Originating in Korea, Badugi has become a crowd favorite in mixed games across the globe, and yes — it’s part of the CCG Mixed Game Series.

⸻

💡 What Is Badugi?

Badugi is a four-card lowball draw poker game. The goal is simple — make the lowest possible hand with four unique suits and no paired ranks. That’s called a Badugi.
• Aces are always low.
• Straights don’t count against you.
• The best possible hand is A♦ 2♣ 3♥ 4♠ — four suits, four different ranks, the purest Badugi there is.

If you have any duplicate suits or ranks, you only get to use your lowest unique cards.

Example:
You hold A♠ 2♠ 3♥ 4♦ → Two spades! You can only keep one, so your best hand is A♠ 3♥ 4♦, a three-card Badugi.

⸻

💵 How Betting Works

Badugi is most often played as a limit game, especially in mixed game rotations like H.O.R.S.E. or the CCG Mixed Game Series.

Each hand has four betting rounds:
1. Pre-draw: Everyone gets four cards, and the first betting round begins.
2. First draw: Players can discard 0–4 cards (or stand pat). Another round of betting follows.
3. Second draw: Draw and bet again.
4. Third draw: One last chance to draw before the final betting round and showdown.

⸻

🔄 Drawing Decisions

Each draw gives you a new chance to improve your hand.
• Stand pat if your hand is already strong — think smooth 4-card Badugi or a strong 3-card.
• Draw 1-3 if you’re chasing better lows or missing suits.
• Draw 4 if you’re embracing chaos. (We’ve all been there.)

⸻

🏁 The Showdown

When all bets are in, players reveal their hands.

Hands are ranked first by how many cards you can use, then by how low they are:
• A 4-card Badugi always beats a 3-card Badugi.
• Among equal-length Badugis, the hand with the lowest high card wins.

Example:
• 4-card 6♠ 7♦ 9♥ J♣ beats
• 3-card A♠ 2♦ 3♣,
because a four-card Badugi outranks any three-card hand.

⸻

⚡ Quick Strategy Tips for New Players
1. Position matters. Acting last helps you see who’s drawing before you make your decision.
2. Smooth over rough. A-2-3 is often stronger than a rough 9-high Badugi.
3. Know when to fold. If you’re drawing two or three and others are patting, you’re probably behind.
4. Bluff selectively. Standing pat early can make you look strong — but timing is everything.

⸻

🏆 Why Badugi Belongs in Every Mixed Game

Badugi keeps players honest, humble, and sometimes hilariously confused. It rewards patience, discipline, and a little bit of luck — the perfect cocktail for charity poker nights and mixed-game grinders alike.

If you’re looking to mix up your poker routine, grab a seat at the next CCG Mixed Game Series and give Badugi a try. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you might even make the worst hand on purpose — and that’s a win in Badugi.
